Discover Quadra Island Bike School, nestled on 22 acres of lush woodland adorned with majestic fir, pine, and cedar trees reaching heights of 100 feet or more. Our coveted Animal Farm Trail seamlessly connects to over 50 kilometers of scenic island trails, including invigorating hilly road rides. Embark on a 16.2 km road loop starting from our doorstep, passing charming spots like the Java Bay Café and Café Aroma.
Shopping On Quadra
For your shopping needs, the island boasts a range of local stores.
Each village (Heriot Bay and Quathiaski Cove) have their own supermarket, some featuring organic selections. Quathiaski Cove is home to Amped on Nutrition, a health food store, and Yellow Dog, a bulk food store offering organics and local fresh eggs. Additionally, roadside farm stands offer seasonal eggs and produce.
While local eateries offer delectable treats, please note that their hours may vary, especially during the off-season. Don't miss our exceptional espresso bars, serving homemade desserts and light meals with available Wi-Fi.

Outdoor Adventures on Quadra
Quadra Island is a notable member of the Discovery Islands Group, renowned for its striking scenery and ecological significance. Within its forested domain, a rich tapestry of wildlife thrives, encompassing eagles, herons, deer, wolves, mink, cougars, and sporadic bear sightings.
When you aren’t working in the shop, Quadra is yours to explore!
Venture into the surrounding waters, and you'll witness a vibrant marine world in action. Otters playfully glide by, porpoises dart gracefully, seals and sea lions bask in the sun, and salmon navigate the currents. Beneath the surface, the ocean unveils its treasures, with dolphins, magnificent humpback whales, and the awe-inspiring orcas completing the captivating tableau of Quadra Island's natural wonders.

Community Centre Trails
Offering a delightful escape from the bustling main roads, this trail network provides an easily accessible and serene environment for cyclists. Morte Lake Trail Network
The Morte Lake Trail Network, nestled amidst the lower slopes of the Chinese Mountain Range, offers an adventure best shared with a friend. However, it's worth noting that this network is not for the faint of heart and demands a high level of riding skill due to its challenging terrain. As a testament to the community's dedication, the trail network is continually expanding thanks to the efforts of local residents. To honor their hard work and preserve the natural surroundings, riders are encouraged to show the utmost respect and care while exploring this exhilarating and evolving trail system.
Main Lake Provincial Park
Main Lake Park on Quadra Island, encompasses six lakes and protects a biologically diverse freshwater system that includes more than 72 bird species and 234 plant species. The park offers significant wilderness recreation opportunities, including wilderness camping, canoeing, kayaking and hiking.
Rebecca Spit Marine Park
Nestled on the eastern side of Quadra Island, the Rebecca Spit is a picturesque strip of land offering a serene spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. This day-use park spans 2 kilometers and features gravel beaches on both sides. Amenities like fire pits (wood not included) and tables enhance the experience, while the scenic views overlook the bustling Drew Harbour anchorage.
Octopus Islands Marine Park
Octopus Islands Marine Park forms a captivating archipelago of petite islets situated at the entrance of Waiatt Bay, gracing the northeast shoreline of Quadra Island. This marine park enjoys a well-deserved reputation as a favored destination for boaters, sea kayakers, and diving enthusiasts alike. Its sheltered coves and crystal-clear waters beckon adventurers to moor their vessels, embark on exhilarating sea kayaking journeys, and delve into the mesmerizing underwater world, making it a must-visit gem for nature enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Surge Narrows Park
These tidal currents are notorious for their strength, particularly at Surge Narrows on the east and Seymour Narrows on the west. Paddlers should avoid Seymour Narrows and only travel through Surge Narrows at slack tide. Paddlers and boaters should be familiar with tidal current charts so they can safely explore Surge Narrows Park. Only very experienced kayakers should attempt to paddle in the fast-flowing and treacherous tidal streams at Surge Narrows. Currents can flow through this area at 16 knots and up to 14 knots on the ebb.
