Introduction
A little bit about our history.
Owned and operated by Smokey Dymny, QBS has been operating on Quadra island since 2011 but our roots go back all the way to Toronto, Ontario.
Smokey Dymny's journey in the world of bicycle repair is nothing short of remarkable. Over two decades ago, he embarked on his bicycle repair odyssey in Toronto, initially volunteering at local co-ops. This humble beginning paved the way for his eventual transition into professional bicycle mechanic instruction.
One of Smokey's crowning achievements in this field was the creation of a groundbreaking bicycle mechanics course, made possible through the sponsorship of the Bicycle Trade Association of Canada. This course laid the groundwork for what the QBS curriculum is today.
